Nissan Motor’s US division announced on December 8 that it will world premiere the 2021 model of the “Nissan Kicks” and will launch the car in the US market in February 2021.
The Kicks was also introduced to the Japanese market in June 2020. For Japanese specifications, only vehicles equipped with the electric powertrain “e-POWER” are available.
Exterior
The Nissan kicks 2021 model for the United States has a completely new front mask, which has the same look as the Japanese version. The fearless double V-motion grille and the sleek floating roof express strength and stylishness. The thin headlamps, which give an advanced and sharp impression, are designed to give off a strong presence by introducing the latest LED technology.
The rear end is equipped with a newly designed bumper, back door finisher, and LED combination lights that extend to the left and right. This LED combination light has a design that glitters like a jewel. Like the front, the newly designed rear bumper creates a more voluminous and premium feel.
Three new body colors are available.Electric Blue Metallic, Scarlet Ember, and Boulder Gray Pearl. Gun metallic, super black, aspen white and fresh powder are also available.
Five types of two-tone paint are also available, including three new options: Super Black + Scarlet Ember, Super Black + Electric Blue Metallic, and Super Black + Boulder Gray Pearl. Super Black + Aspen White and Super Black + Monarch Orange Metallic are also available.
Nissan kicks Interior
For the Nissan kicks interior, we aimed for a modern premium interior space that feels seamless and high quality. It features an easy-to-use grouped layout and premium expression with high-quality parts.
It uses a D-shaped steering wheel, a 6-way driver’s seat power seat, and a 60:40 split foldable rear seat. The new sheet material is available in more saturated colors.
Apple “Car Play” and Google “Android Auto”, 7.0-inch touch screen, Bluetooth hands-free calling system, streaming audio via Bluetooth, 3 USB ports, keyless entry, push button start, tire alert, intelligent auto headlight Etc. are standard equipment on all cars.
For the highest grade “SR”, the only “Bose Personal Space Control” in its class is set as an option. This feature is built into the audio settings of the infotainment system, allowing you to adjust the acoustic environment to your liking, whether it’s front-seat-focused or overall-focused. The system also includes a digital amplifier with 6-channel custom equalization and digital system processing capabilities.
Nissan Kicks Powertrain
The only US powertrain is a 1.6-liter in-line 4-cylinder gasoline naturally aspirated engine with a continuously variable valve timing control system. There will be no e-POWER-equipped vehicles for Japan. This 1.6-liter engine produces a maximum output of 122hp and a maximum torque of 15.7kgm. The drive system is FF, and the transmission is combined with the CVT “Extronic”.
The higher grades were equipped with intelligent cruise control and an electric parking brake with auto hold. The highest grade SR is equipped with an integrated dynamic control module with active engine braking and intelligent ride control.
