Toyota introduced the new generation 2023 Sequoia SUV with the factory index XK80. The previous second lasted 15 years on the assembly line. It was launched in 2007.

The appearance of the next generation car can be compared with the expectation of another famous model of the brand – Toyota Land Cruiser 300 , the previous generation of which lasted a little less on the assembly line – 14 years.
The basis for the long-awaited model was the current version of the Tundra pickup truck. The Sequoia uses the same architecture as the Land Cruiser 300, the TNGA-F. Partially new Sequoia is unified with the Tundra. The cars have the same front fenders, headlights and hood. The exception was the design of the grille and bumpers.
With the Tundra pickup, the new frame SUV shared not only the appearance, but also the engine. Toyota Sequoia got a hybrid system based on a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, which is assisted by an electric motor. The total output of the power plant is 443 hp. There is only one transmission – a ten-speed automatic. Drive – rear or full.
Already in the base, the SUV offers a multimedia system with a 14-inch touch screen, ventilated and heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. The third row seats are electrically adjustable and move forward and backward by 152 mm.
Buying an SUV. The future owner will be able to choose from five available packages – SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro and Capstone. Optionally, for each of them, you can install the JBL audio system with fourteen speakers, a panoramic roof, a projection display, as well as a wireless charging for a smartphone.
Production of the new Sequoia will be established in Texas. The target markets for the SUV will continue to be the US and Canada. Its value has not yet been announced.
