Nissan has unveiled the new Nissan Navara 2026 , set to redefine the region’s one-tonne segment when it launches in late Q1 2026.
A staple in Australia and New Zealand since 1986—with nearly 500,000 units sold—the Navara enters its 40th anniversary with a next-generation design that builds on its trusted reputation while meeting the needs of modern buyers.

Design Inspired by Heritage, Built for Today
The new Nissan Navara 2026 blends rugged capability with contemporary styling, drawing on Nissan’s ute heritage. Its exterior incorporates signature cues such as the V-strut grille, now reimagined as a bull bar-inspired “V-strut shield” influenced by modified Australian utes. A three-slot upper grille echoes the D21 Navara, while C-shaped headlamps integrate seamlessly with the front fascia to express modern precision.
A mesh grille pattern made up of smaller V-strut motifs reinforces both performance and identity.

PRO-4X: The Flagship Expression
The PRO-4X grade stands out with black exterior elements, Lava Red accents, a black sports bar, black 17-inch wheels on 265/65R17 all-terrain tyres, and a standard towbar. Inside, Lava Red details, embossed logos, leather-accented seats and contrast stitching distinguish the cabin.
Technology for Work and Lifestyle
All grades feature a spacious cabin and a 9-inch infotainment system with DAB digital radio, Android Auto> and wireless Apple CarPlay>. ST-X and PRO-4X grades add wireless smartphone charging.
A 7-inch colour TFT display gives the driver clear vehicle information, while Australian buyers benefit from MyNISSAN Navara** Connected Services, including emergency call, remote HVAC, stolen vehicle tracking, and remote lock/unlock.
Efficient, Proven Powertrain
Every new Nissan Navara 2026 is powered by a 2.4-litre turbodiesel producing 150kW and 470Nm, paired with a wide-ratio six-speed automatic. Delivering strong performance for towing and hauling, it also achieves an efficient 7.7L/100km (combined)#.
Electric Power Steering improves both fuel economy and driving precision across all conditions.
Advanced Four-Wheel-Drive Capability
The new Navara offers two advanced 4WD systems. On select grades, Easy 4WD automatically shifts between 2WD for cruising and 4WD when extra traction is needed; an electronic rear differential lock is standard.
ST-X and PRO-4X grades introduce Super 4WD with full-time high-range mode, an open centre differential, and a Torsen® Limited Slip Differential for improved cornering. Seven terrain modes—Normal, Eco, Gravel, Snow, Mud, Sand, Rock—allow drivers to optimise performance for any surface.
Advanced traction management and locally developed suspension work together to deliver confident handling across everything from muddy worksites to remote station tracks.
