Volkswagen has introduced a new SUV, the 2026 Volkswagen Atlas (Teramont Pro), in China. This model is a refreshed version of the previous Teramont and is anticipated to form the foundation for the upcoming Volkswagen Atlas, set to be unveiled in the United States.

The Volkswagen Teramont Pro (Atlas) features a spacious 7-seat layout with a sleek, modern design and larger dimensions. It measures 5,158 mm in length, 1,991 mm in width, and 1,788 mm in height. The design focuses on providing a luxurious and comfortable travel experience.
The exterior of the 2026 Volkswagen Atlas (Teramont Pro) has been significantly updated to enhance its modern appeal. The front grille features a new, solid design with two layers of black bars and a bold Volkswagen logo at the center. The large, square LED headlights, combined with a sleek chrome strip, further elevate the vehicle’s luxurious look.
The front bumper of the 2026 Volkswagen Atlas (Teramont Pro) has been redesigned with sportier air intakes, giving it a more dynamic appearance. The sides of the vehicle continue to highlight a blend of simplicity and luxury. Like other recently refreshed Volkswagens in the region, the Teramont Pro features a third display positioned in front of the front passenger. Additionally, the crossover is equipped with the much-discussed DeepSeek artificial intelligence. The vehicle also comes with a comprehensive list of driver assistance features. As before, the Teramont Pro will be available in a seven-seater configuration.
The suspension system of the Volkswagen Teramont Pro is equipped with the DCC Adaptive Chassis Control, which enhances driving smoothness and stability, providing a more comfortable and controlled ride.
The 2025 Volkswagen Teramont Pro (Atlas) is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, delivering 268 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and features the 4Motion all-wheel-drive system. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds.
Sales of the Volkswagen Teramont Pro in China are set to begin soon, though pricing details have yet to be revealed. As for the American Volkswagen Atlas, it remains uncertain whether it will transition to a new generation.
