Changan Mazda has officially unveiled the 2026 Mazda EZ-60, a new model that closely mirrors the design language of Mazda’s “Arata” concept car. The EZ-60 supports both all-electric and extended-range powertrains, offering versatility for different driving needs. The vehicle is set to make its public debut at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, which opens on April 23.
The Changan 2026 Mazda EZ-60 measures 4,850 mm in length, 1,935 mm in width, and 1,620 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,902 mm, positioning it squarely within the mid-size SUV segment. In addition to its bold design, the EZ-60 will be offered in a variety of exterior color options, including a brand-new, eye-catching purple paint.

At the front, both the extended-range and pure electric versions of the Changan Mazda EZ-60 share the same overall design, with no major differences between them. The front fascia features modern split-style headlights, while the traditional grille area is replaced with a sleek, closed panel. A distinctive light strip runs along the lower edge of this panel, seamlessly connecting the daytime running lights on both sides. Enhancing the futuristic look, the Mazda logo at the center is illuminated. Additionally, a horizontally extended air duct sits along the upper edge of the closed grille panel, while the central part of the front bumper incorporates an integrated air intake design for improved airflow.

The Changan 2026 Mazda EZ-60 boasts a sleek body design with a long front and short front overhang, giving it the dynamic, sporty proportions of a modern SUV. Modern design elements include hidden door handles and optional electronic exterior rearview mirrors, enhancing both aesthetics and aerodynamics. The side skirts are highlighted with decorative trim featuring the “MAZDA” logo, adding a subtle yet distinctive branding element. Notably, the EZ-60 also incorporates an air duct at the D-pillar, contributing to the vehicle’s overall aerodynamic efficiency. In total, the vehicle integrates nine air ducts strategically placed throughout the body to optimize airflow and performance.

At the rear, the Changan 2026 Mazda EZ-60 is fitted with a newly designed through-type taillight cluster that enhances its modern and futuristic appeal. Just below the taillight strip, the “MAZDA” lettering is prominently embedded, serving as a clean and stylish branding element. Both the extended-range and pure electric versions share nearly identical rear-end designs, thanks to the extended-range model’s hidden exhaust layout. The only notable difference is the presence of an “EV” badge on the lower right corner of the tailgate, distinguishing the fully electric version.

Inside, the Changan 2026 Mazda EZ-60 embraces a minimalist design language, centered around a high-tech, futuristic cabin experience. A standout feature is the massive 26.45-inch 5K floating integrated display, which enhances the vehicle’s tech-forward appeal. Models equipped with electronic exterior rearview mirrors will also feature two additional interior screens to display the side views. Complementing the digital setup, the EZ-60 includes an AR-HUD (Augmented Reality Head-Up Display) and is powered by a cutting-edge cockpit chip built on a 4-nanometer process. The infotainment system also supports advanced functions such as gesture control, offering an intuitive and interactive user experience.

The Changan Mazda EZ-60 features a convenient hand-held gear selector and a thoughtfully designed central channel. An open storage space is integrated into the lower level, while the upper section includes practical elements like cup holders and a wireless charging pad for mobile devices. Inside, The Changan Mazda EZ-60 features a 5-seat layout with impressive cargo versatility. Its rear trunk can expand from 350 liters to a generous 2,036 liters, while the pure electric variant also offers a 126-liter front trunk for extra storage.

In terms of comfort and tech features, the EZ-60 is equipped with an array of premium options, including front zero-gravity seats, front and rear seat heating, a streaming media rearview mirror, a rear-seat control touch screen, and an impressive 23-speaker sound system. However, it’s worth noting that many of these high-end features may be limited to select trims rather than being standard across the entire lineup.

Under the hood, the Changan Mazda EZ-60 extended-range version is equipped with a 1.5-liter range extender engine delivering a maximum output of 72 kW, paired with an electric drive motor rated at 190 kW. It is supported by a 31.73 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, enabling a pure electric driving range of approximately 160 kilometers—though the specific testing conditions for this range have not been disclosed. As for the fully electric variant of the EZ-60, detailed specifications regarding its power output and driving range have yet to be officially revealed.
In the current mid-size SUV market, key competitors offering both extended-range and pure electric powertrains include models like the Avita 07 and the Deep Blue S07, positioning themselves as notable alternatives to the Changan Mazda EZ-60.
