The Smart #5 is the third model from Smart Automobile, a company created in 2019 through a joint venture between Mercedes-Benz and Geely. All new Smart models released so far are built on Geely’s SEA platform and are manufactured in China.

2025 Smart #5 Barbus
The 2025 Smart #5 Barbus is powered by the most powerful twin-motor powertrain in the lineup, delivering a maximum combined output of 646 hp and 710 Nm of torque.

Weighing 2,378 kg, the electric crossover accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 210 km/h.
With a maximum charging power of 400 kW, it can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes.
It is equipped with an 800-volt, 100 kWh battery, offering a range of up to 540 km on a full charge, as per the WLTP cycle.

Brabus hasn’t made dramatic visual changes to the standard Smart #5 model. The wheel arches remain unchanged, but new bumpers and side skirts enhance the performance model’s presence. It also features a set of 21-inch monoblock alloy wheels and red brake calipers. Red accents are found throughout, including on the roof, mirror caps, and unique red badges discreetly placed around the vehicle.

Its key dimensions are consistent with other versions of the Smart #5 in the European specification: an overall length of 4,695 mm, a width of 1,920 mm, a height of 1,705 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,900 mm.
The interior of the Smart #5 is finished in grippy microfiber, with the front seats offering both ventilation and heating, and aluminum pads on the pedals.

Standard features include three displays on the dashboard, a premium Sennheiser audio system with twenty speakers, a panoramic glass roof, and a range of other high-end amenities. Despite its performance-focused design, the Brabus version remains practical, featuring a 47-liter front trunk and a main trunk with a 630-liter capacity. When the rear seats are folded down, the total cargo space expands to 1,530 liters.

The digital ecosystem of the 2025 Smart #5 Barbuss is highlighted by two 13-inch OLED displays for the infotainment system, powered by the AMD V2000 chipset and running Smart’s own Smart OS 2.0. Inside the cabin, there’s a 10.25-inch Full HD digital instrument panel and a 25.6-inch augmented reality head-up display, providing an advanced and immersive driving experience.
