New 2025 Bentley Flying Spur Revealed with Hybrid V-8 Powertrain

Bentley has been refining its Flying Spur sedan since 2005, and over time, the model has seen several updates. In 2019, the developers introduced the third generation of this luxurious four-door sedan, featuring a petrol-electric hybrid variant. Bentley has now launched the latest version of the 2025 Bentley Flying Spur, which, although officially classified as the fourth generation, primarily represents a restyling of the existing model.

Exterior-2025 Bentley Flying Spur

The exterior of the new Flying Spur sees only subtle modifications. It now features a black radiator grille with a fine mesh and horizontally elongated cells, while the iconic winged statuette remains in its traditional spot. The designers refreshed the front bumper with new air intakes, and the sedan showcases updated exhaust pipes and distinctive 22-inch wheel rims.

Interestingly, Bentley has opted to retain the previous “four-eyed” headlamps for this new iteration, whereas the latest Continental GT has received new oval headlights with protruding running lights.

Inside, the designers enhanced the Flying Spur’s cabin with minor decorative updates and now included an air ionizer. Customers can choose leather upholstery with a new three-dimensional pattern and opt for climate control in all four seats, which adjusts heating and ventilation based on seat temperature readings. The rotating central module on the dashboard remains, offering a choice between a 12.3-inch media screen, three analog gauges, or a blank panel.

Hybrid Powertrain

The car’s audio system boasts a 2,200-watt Naim setup with 19 speakers and active low-frequency converters integrated into the front seats. Bentley has also announced an extensive range of personalization options, with “billions” of possible configurations.

The new Flying Spur’s Ultra Performance Hybrid combines a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine delivering 600 PS with an electric motor producing 190 PS. An 8-speed DCT distributes power to all four wheels, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds and outpacing many super sports cars.

With a total system output of 782 PS and a peak torque of 1000 Nm, this hybrid variant exceeds the previous 6.0-liter W12 twin-turbo engine by over 11% in torque and delivers improved performance across the rev range. Bentley has now produced the most powerful saloon ever.

The Flying Spur also features a three-mode suspension system with dual-chamber shock absorbers and active anti-roll bars. Deliveries for the Bentley Flying Spur Speed hybrid are expected to start by the end of the year, with prices beginning at £220,000. A base hybrid model with a V6 engine will also be updated in the near future.
