Skoda has announced the debut of a new compact crossover Kushaq, which will be focused primarily on the Indian market. The new 2021 Skoda Kushaq crossover was developed on the MQB-A0 IN platform specially adapted to local standards (Indian market).
The length of the novelty is 4225 mm, the width is 1760 mm, and the height is 1612 mm. The size of the wheelbase of the crossover reaches 2651 mm. The volume of the luggage compartment is 385 litres, and if you fold the rear row of seats, then the useful space will grow to 1405 litres. The maximum ground clearance of the Skoda Kushaq, most likely relevant for the version with 17-inch wheels, is 188 mm.
If we talk about the interior of the novelty, then it will not have an electronic dashboard: only an analogue “tidy” with a screen between the scales of the speedometer and tachometer. The top-end media system will be represented by a 10-inch touch screen. Other top-end options include a double steering wheel in the style of the latest Superb and Octavia models and front seats with a ventilation function. The maximum number of airbags that can be equipped with the new Skoda Kushaq crossover is six.
The powertrain lineup of the new 2021 Skoda Kushaq includes a 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI engine that produces 115 hp. It works in tandem with a 6-speed Manual Transmission or a classic “automatic”. In addition, the 150-horsepower 1.5-liter TSI unit will also be offered with a manual transmission or a seven-speed DSG Transmission, Front-wheel drive only.
Prices for the new product have not yet been revealed.
