The all-new Next Generation 2025 MG ZS (astor)Hybrid+ has been officially unveiled for the first time globally.This new compact crossover SUV was developed by the Chinese automotive company SAIC and built on its own platform.
It has seen successful sales in Australia, Mexico, India (where it’s known as the MG Astor), the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Europe. In the past year alone, over 250,000 MG ZS vehicles have been sold worldwide!

The 2025 MG ZS (astor) Hybrid+ has seen minimal changes in size and has preserved its overall conservative design. The new MG ZS measures 4,430 mm in length, 1,820 mm in width, and 1,640 mm in height. Its wheelbase is now measuring 2,610 mm. Additionally, the trunk volume of the updated model is 443 liters.
Exterior
The exterior design of the 2025 MG ZS Hybrid+ follows the styling cues of the MG3 and the new MG HS, featuring a prominent octagonal grille positioned lower to enhance its sporty character. The rear design highlights the edge of the hood to contribute to a more agile appearance. It comes equipped with LED lighting all around, including an automatic on-off system. The SE model sports 17-inch alloy wheels, while the Trophy model boasts 18-inch alloy wheels.
Interior
The cabin of the MG ZS Hybrid+ comes well-equipped even in the base model, featuring a 7-inch driver information display and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It also includes a rearview camera with distance sensors, automatic air conditioning, and a six-speaker audio system.
For those opting for the top-of-the-line Trophy model, additional features are available for an extra cost, including leather seats, electric seat adjustment for the driver, heating for the front seats and steering wheel, a surround-view camera, privacy glass windows, and upgraded 18-inch alloy wheels. However, it seems that both models do not have a wireless smartphone charger installed.
Both MG ZS Hybrid+ models will be equipped with MG Pilot driving assistance systems. It includes adaptive cruise control, active emergency braking with pedestrian and bicycle detection, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot detection, forward collision warning, and traffic jam assist.
Powertrain
The all-new MG ZS Hybrid+ features a hybrid powertrain that combines a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, producing 102 PS, with an electric motor delivering 136 PS. This setup results in a total system power of 196 ps and a maximum torque of 343 Newton meters. The ZS suv accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.7 seconds and has a top speed of 167 km/h.

Two trim levels are offered for the all-new MG ZS Hybrid+: SE, starting at £21,995, and Trophy, priced at £24,495.
The all-new MG ZS Hybrid+ is now available for order, with initial deliveries to MG dealerships set to begin in October 2024.
