Korean Auto Maker has introduced the new 2025 Hyundai Palisade, the brand’s largest SUV, boasting a refreshed, more luxurious design and an upgraded interior focused on enhanced comfort and practicality. This model offers seating options for up to nine passengers, ensuring versatility for a variety of needs.
The three-row Hyundai Palisade crossover has been in production since 2018, and buyer interest continues to rise. In fact, 2023 saw a record-breaking year with 166,000 units sold globally, nearly 90,000 of which were in the United States. However, the assembly line will soon stop producing the Palisade, as a second-generation model is already ready to take its place.
New 2025 Hyundai Palisade
The second-generation Hyundai Palisade features a refreshed design, with LED daytime running lights arranged in vertical columns, mirrored by similarly styled rear lights. The headlights are now rectangular and feature a two-tier design. The front grille has been made wider, and squared indentations have been added above the wheel arches. Additionally, in Korea, the new Palisade offers an option for 21-inch wheels, a significant upgrade from the previous model’s 18- or 20-inch wheels.
Hyundai has stated that it has extended both the length and wheelbase of the new Palisade, although it has not revealed the exact dimensions.
Interior
Designers created the interior of the new Hyundai Palisade with a luxurious touch, inspired by high-end furniture. It features dual 12.3-inch screens integrated into a curved dashboard. To maximize space, engineers relocated the gearshift to the steering wheel, while they designed the buttons and knobs to remain user-friendly and intuitive.
The cabin also incorporates capsule-shaped air vents, round door handles, and tan-toned seat materials, reminiscent of the premium finishes seen in the Genesis brand. The designers enhanced the steering wheel, featuring a Range Rover-style design, with ambient lighting and wood panels, creating a warm and sophisticated atmosphere.
Hyundai confirms that the cabin can accommodate up to nine passengers. The manufacturer equipped the front seats with a center console that can convert into an additional seat, though it’s unclear whether all models will have this feature or only those for the Korean market. The design includes individual units for the second-row seats, while the upgrades to the third-row seats provide enhanced comfort and improved visibility.
Powertrain
Hyundai has yet to reveal the full technical specifications of the new Palisade. However, the team has confirmed that the model will continue to use the existing platform with a transverse engine layout. Engineers expect the engine to be a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, producing 281 horsepower, a powertrain already featured in other Hyundai models. The team has scheduled the full premiere of the second-generation Hyundai Palisade crossover for the coming months.
