The New 2022 Opel Astra Sports Tourer station wagon has changed a generation. It differs from its predecessor both externally and technically. The list of differences includes the new EMP2 platform. It provides for the use of both traditional internal combustion engines and electrified power plants.

Externally, the second-generation station wagon is similar to the Astra hatchback, but there are differences. In particular, the narrow front LED optics are visually combined with the radiator grille. For the first time, the designers of the brand applied such a solution to the Opel GT X Experimental concept, presented in 2018.
There are also enough changes in the cabin. The most noticeable is the new digital panel Pure Panel, which combines the dashboard and display of the multimedia complex into one unit. It also boasts new Nappa leather upholstered seats and a compact joystick that replaces the traditional gear lever.
The Astra Sports Tourer is powered by a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine with 110 and 130 hp. In a pair of the first, a six-speed manual transmission is provided, the second – an eight-speed automatic. Also, the new station wagon will have a diesel modification with a 1.5-liter engine and 130 hp. In addition, Opel will offer customers two hybrid versions with 180 and 225 hp.
Acceptance of pre-orders for the second generation Opel Astra Sports Tourer starts in early 2022. The first cars will be delivered to customers in mid-2022. The cost of the new item has not yet been announced.
