Last December, Lexus announced a wide range of electric vehicles, and now systematically publishes new images of future innovations. A week ago, a mid-size crossover Lexus RZ was shown , which will be completely declassified this year. Now a larger crossover is highlighted, which does not even have an index. For now, it’s just a 2022 Lexus RX Electrified SUV.
2022 Lexus RX
This car is clearly larger than the RZ model: the company did not publish characteristics, but it is already known that it has three rows of seats. That is, we have an analogue (or even successor) of the current Lexus RX L model with a seven-seater saloon. It is not even clear when such a crossover will be completely declassified, so it is possible that the pictures show a concept car, and the production car will look a little different. Although neither retractable door handles, nor cameras instead of mirrors can no longer be considered exclusive attributes of the concept.
But there is no doubt that such a Lexus will enter the market in the foreseeable future. After all, by 2030 the company plans to have a full range of electric vehicles with models of different classes, and in Europe, North America and China, only battery cars will remain. And by 2035, Lexus will switch completely to electric traction.
