The iconic sports car Acura Integra was removed from the assembly line in 2001. However, twenty years later, the company decided to return the model to the back-end. So far, only the prototype is ready, and the production version will appear next year. According to the manufacturer, it will fully correspond to the show car.
2022 Acura Integra
The car was shown at a special event. She looks bright and youthful. The car was built on the basis of the current Honda Civic, but not in the form of a sedan, but in the form of a five-door liftback. The exterior is made in the style of other models of the brand. Integra received a proprietary frameless grille, angular LED optics with original graphics, large foglights, a bumper with a wide air intake and a textured hood.
The body of the prototype is painted in Indy Yellow, borrowed from the current NSX. Complementing it are 19-inch wheels with matte black spokes and Brembo brake calipers. The side mirror covers are painted in two colors and a small spoiler is installed on the trunk. The tailpipes of the exhaust system are complemented by inserts to match the body.
Technically, the car is unified with the Civic Si. It is powered by a 200 hp 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo engine and 260 Nm of torque. It is paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The new Acura Integra will be available to dealers no earlier than 2023. Its cost will be about $ 30,000. The model will be assembled at the company’s plant in Ohio (USA).
