New 2021 Citroen C3 Aircross Facelift Revealed

Citroen has unveiled the updated 2021 C3 Aircross. The model, which has been on sale since 2017, has undergone a mid-life restyling and has undergone significant changes inside and out. The main focus of the French brand is on attractive design, extensive customization options and an impressive list of equipment for a B-class crossover.

Citroen’s designers have tried to give the C3 Aircross “more expressiveness”. The updated crossover can be distinguished from its predecessor by the chrome chevrons extending towards the LED headlights like the new C3 and C4, a new geometric pattern grille and a silver-grey protective panel with coloured inserts.

But the main feature of the new item is 70 combination options that are available to customers when choosing an appearance. For example, you can choose from seven body colours, four packages with different decorative inserts, exterior mirror caps and coloured grilles at the rear, and four interior trims. The company is especially proud of the new stitching, which is made in the form of a series of stylized chevrons and has no analogues on the market. In addition to all of the above, 16- or 17-inch wheels with different designs are available for the C3 Aircross.

The possibility of transforming the cabin has remained: the crossover is equipped with longitudinal adjustment of the position of two independent parts of the rear seat with a range of 150 millimetres, as well as the function of folding the front passenger seat for transporting items up to 2.4 meters long. The trunk holds from 410 to 1289 litres, depending on the position of the seats.

Changes in the cabin include luxury seats, a redesigned centre console with a new multimedia system and a larger nine-inch touchscreen instead of the previous seven. The list of equipment is still rich: it includes a head-up display, parking assistant, wireless charging for smartphones, a traffic sign recognition system, a system for automatic switching of low and high beam headlights, and a rear-view camera. As before, the C3 Aircross is offered with Grip Control, which adjusts the traction on the front wheels to suit the terrain and maintains a constant speed when descending a slope.

The European line of motors has remained the same. It includes PureTech gasoline engines (110 and 130 horsepower) and BlueHDi diesel units (110 and 120 horsepower). They are combined with a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic. The updated Citroen C3 Aircross will appear at local dealers in June 2021.
